Why Compounding Makes a Difference

No two patients metabolize medicine the same way. Some need a specific strength their physician has determined is right for them. Others need the medication in a different form — a topical cream rather than a pill, or a troche rather than an injection. Patients with sensitivities may need a preparation free of dyes, lactose, or preservatives. And sometimes combining two or three active ingredients into a single preparation simplifies a patient's daily routine.

Our pharmacist is available to consult with prescribers on formulation, dosage form, and ingredient alternatives — the compounding details that shape each preparation.
